French drains are long trenches that contain a perforated drainpipe along with gravel and landscape fabric. Usually the lawn is replaced on top. Unlike a catch basin (or point drain) which captures water at a single point, the french drain captures the water at any point along the pipe. French drains are typically used to help dry out a low lying yard. Many times catch basins, and dry wells can be combined to create an overall low lying drainage solution. Our designers can help you design and install a solution that is right for your property.
